Dearest mothers to be,
I am so happy to share with you the growing service of in-hospital water birthing within Israel.
When I began Water Birth Israel 5 years ago hospitals were not open to this gentle and empowering birth supporting service and so I thought hard and sat down with the amazing midwives from St Josephs, Hadassa, Mt Scopus and other fabulous Israeli hospitals to organise an accreditation course! The idea was simple, train the hospital midwives and then the hospital owners can feel comfortable to allow water pools in... That was in 2016 and now the numbers are growing rapidly!
A request for your help
We all know that when we work together we can move mountains. As a team we are worth more than the sum of our parts. I am personally asking you to take just a moment and call your local hospital or pop in when you have an appointment and ask if they provide water birthing. If they do not simply request that they do.
Once our hospitals see that we want the option to water birth within a hospital setting they will provide that for us.
Lots of love
